George Eliot Hospital Charity has celebrated its 30th birthday, marking three decades of supporting patients, families and staff at George Eliot Hospital.
The special anniversary was celebrated today with staff, supporters and members of the community coming together to recognise the charity’s achievements over the past 30 years.
The charity was honoured to welcome the Lord Lieutenant of Warwickshire as its VIP guest, who joined the celebrations and took part in a ceremonial cake cutting to mark the milestone.
Since its establishment in 1996, George Eliot Hospital Charity has benefited from the incredible generosity of hospital staff, their families, local community groups, businesses and supporters. Their fundraising and donations have enabled the charity to fund projects, equipment and initiatives that go above and beyond what NHS funding can provide.
Over the past three decades, this support has helped make a real difference to patients and their families, while also supporting the wellbeing of staff working at George Eliot Hospital.
The 30th birthday celebration provided an opportunity to reflect on the charity’s achievements and, most importantly, to say thank you to everyone who has played a part in its journey.
Adam Carson, Managing Director of George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust & South Warwickshire University NHS Trust, joined the celebrations and looked ahead to the charity’s future, saying:
“And here’s to the next 30 years.”
The charity is now looking forward to continuing its work and building on the incredible support it has received from its community over the past three decades.
