Say hello to George Ele – our much-loved charity mascot and newest team member at George Eliot Hospital Charity!
George Ele was “born” in 1996, the same year our charity began, and has been quietly growing into the gentle, thoughtful elephant we know today. With its big ears and even bigger heart, George Ele is here to listen, learn, and champion the incredible work happening across our hospital.
George Ele represents everything we stand for:
Just like elephants never forget, George Ele helps us remember the importance of kindness, connection, and the impact we can all have.
You’ll see George Ele popping up all around the hospital and out in the community:
If you see George Ele around the hospital, don’t be shy — come and say hello! George Ele loves meeting new people and hearing your stories.
Together with George Ele, we’re proud to support George Eliot Hospital in going above and beyond for our patients, their families and staff every day.
George Ele’s adventures wouldn’t be possible without the support of our wonderful sponsors.
A huge thank you to Cawthornes and Conference Care, our 2026/2027 sponsors, for helping bring George Ele to life and supporting our mission to go above and beyond for patients, families, and staff.
