Event: Mount Toubkal Trek – The Third & Final Chapter
Date: 2nd to 6th September 2026
For those seeking a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, the Mount Toubkal Trek offers the chance to conquer North Africa’s highest peak. Experience the sunrise over the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert in an unforgettable journey guided by expert mountain leaders.
Hike to the roof of North Africa 4,167 metres.
Wednesday 2nd September Day 1: Participants arrive Marrakech airport approximately 20:00. Guides meet participants at the airport and drive to Berber village of Imlil ready to begin the climb the following day.
Thursday 3rd September Day 2: Wake early to ascend the Toubkal Valley stopping for lunch on the trail. Hike to refuge 3,200 metres. Hiking time 5 hours, 10.3km travelled with a 1540m ascent and 130m descent. Arrive at refuge in the afternoon for dinner and bed.
Friday 4th September Day 3: Rise early to climb out of the valley on the way to the summit. After reaching the top and enjoying the view the long descent will begin to the refuge where we spend another night. Hiking time 9-10 hours, 6.5km travelled with a 1130m ascent.
Saturday 5th September Day 4: Leaving the refuge around 6am after breakfast we descend to Imlil where our transport will take us to Marrakech. Hiking time 5 hours, 10.3km travelled with a 2000m decent. Free time to explore the beautiful city of Marrakech
Sunday 6th September Day 5: Enjoy a Moroccan breakfast and then transfers to the airport for flights home at 11:20am.
Numbers: minimum 10 participant places
This incredible challenge includes return flights, transfers, accommodation, meals, and expert guides.
Minimum sponsorship: £1,500 per person (minimum age 18, good fitness level required). £250 deposit required on sign up. Participants must have fundraised 50% of their sponsorship by end May 2026. Remaining amount required by end of Oct 2026.
